Overview
The problem isn’t that we don’t have enough information about fitness.
This used to be the case before 2000. No one reallllllyyyyyy knew what they were doing. Everyone just said “this works for me”. Like okay that’s great, but science has come VERY far since then. Now, we can look at cause and effect. Now, we can see that fitness is less of an art and more of a science.
This is great because more information is better right? WRONG. (so so wrong)
The modern problem is that we have WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION.
- Who knows what is true? (Is it really science? Or is it just your opinion with random citations linked…)
- Who knows if what your reading applies to you or if you’re missing crucial context? (Do studies on untrained athletes really reflect the best possible bodybuilding practices… I would say in my experience of training myself and others: No. )
- Are people just selling you another gimmick? (Don’t hate me but ashwaganda and ‘adaptogens’ are not game changers and most likely a way to just blow your money in the same irrational way as buying a lottery ticket. You’re really just buying the feeling that you are going to be successful, but you are not buying success.)
- Will you ever make the progress you want? (not if you keep relying on supplements and eating like dog shit and training like a guy without their heart broken)
- You know what, it’s easier to eat snacks and watch tiktok.
If you’re a guy, and you really want to feel what I’m talking about. Please watch this video “Life of a Guy”.
Let’s fix this.
- Let’s work together.
- Let’s organize all the fitness questions someone could have by outlining the most important variables.
- When the variables are outlines, people can filter for personalized answers.
- And the best part is that we can fact check and come to a group consensus about what we believe is true.
